a nice cozy rainy day to read today, but I didn't find any books laying around that I wanted to read. oh well.
and the moon looked neat tonite without much light on it.
feels like winter is here at last.
The oldest boy asked me how Stirling engines work. so we did some research, and couldn't figure it out for a few hours, then I finally remembered, and explained it to him. the last time I was interested in them was in 1997, i think.
He's been doing some drawing at home, he has a project in art that is due at the end of the quarter. So he made a sketch of a fish drawing, in the style of Escher, in a spiral pattern with each fish eating the (smaller) fish in front of it. Really neat, and this is the type of drawing that he's best at, geometric patterns. He's having a tough time trying to draw people.
this is one he did last year. pretty good for a 15 yr old (at the time)
