we made it back home just fine, even got a bunch of nice convertible weather from Kingman down to close to home. And saw a neat 70s built 1934 Ford 4 dr sedan street rod at the gas station in Kingman, talked to the guy a bit, he has a 55 chevy too (!)...the Ford looked really nice, he has had it forever and driven it a lot. has a chrome Jag IRS, small block Chevy engine, nice dark green metallic paint, 70s style Caddy interior stuff like the column, etc. And chrome wire wheels, non-filled roof, all the stuff folks used to do back then.

Stopped to get gas in tucson and the speaker at the gas pump said "that's a nice car you have there" I guess lots of folks like her little car! it is fun to drive...it's too bad the gas tank is so small, it only holds about 8 gallons from when the "out of gas" idiot lite goes on till it's full. And getting just a bit more than 20 mpg (driving fast with the top down) we have to stop quit a bit. still not as bad as my car, which holds about 14 gals and only gets 12 on good days on the freeway, usually it's closer to 9 or 10 in town.

sos at home, she's been watching TV since we got home around 6. and one kid is still up doing homework.

I guess I'll have to call about the mortgage app tomorrow and see what's up. if it goes thru then I'll have to get to work building the new garage...oh boy! what fun. will be nice to have a place to park all these cars...
