Here I am in wordpad...because dl is not accepting new entries, and it's only 10am, and rg had an entry disappear, and you just never know.
been a week...the T-day feast was fun! Went to mom's house, the inlaws, siblings, nephews, and step family were there. Great dinner, and fun fun fun. We all mostly get along pretty well, although the nephews behave like monsters when they have their big cousins to pick on.
Brother gave me the soxmas video, so now we all know the true meaning of Christmas. I think we knew it all along, but it's nice to have confirmation.
we're being good consumers this year, spending $$$ as we're supposed to. A sizeable chunk of it is going to China to support the capatalist revolution there, but also quite a bit is going to stay in country and help out our workers. It all boils down to economics in the end, eh?
sure has been chilly this week, last Thursday was a really nice day up in Tucson, but it's been down in the low 20s hereabouts in the morning lately. We've been burning pellets voraciously. Which is better in some respects (mainly by keeping carbon in the ground rather than releasing it to the atmosphere) than running a furnace.
I've been reading a bit, The Naturalist by Wilson, the Feynman book (Surely You're Joking...) for the 3rd or 4th time, and I'm halfay thru Billions and Billions by Sagan just before he died, which is a darn good book. These all are/were library books (Feynman was free from the discard pile, but it's disintegrating)
