12/20 - 10pm

Looks like we're leaving in the morning, the engine is put together and in the bakc of hte truck. Wife got her brother and got home ok.

Since she got some tickets to the UofA games over break, she's going to tucson tomorrow and need to drive the cop car because we'll have her truck, and she can't drive her little car because she needs to take two kids with her. So we got the parts to fix thenoise in the cop car...two idler pulleys (the sealed bearings in them ran out of grease) and I had youngest kid change them. He hasn't done any work on a late model car before, and he said it's a pain! yup. I got to help a little with a tight bolt and when he dropped a nut and it vanished, I fished it out of the fan shroud. It's nice and quiet now, and one of the bearings that he took out felt like it was going to go all the way bad pretty soon, although it probably would have made it to LA and back once. maybe!

The old cars don't even have those parts in them. damn late models! although the car has been really good especially considering we only paid $350 for it and it was only 10 years old with just under 150k miles, and in very good condition inside and out...needed brakes and a tune up and it burns a bit of oil, although no more than my real old cars and trucks do.

We're off to the wacky world of vegas again! wow, that's 3 times in 3 months.
