12/22 - 11:11 nitetime
Well, we made it up there and back! oldest son and I spent something like 18 hours in the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area, and didn't enter even ONE place of business! We went to friend's house, guy came and got engine and paid for it. We hung out at friend's house with his wife's sister (said wife is adopted, so I'm not sure of their real relationship) and her 2 little boys and friend's 2 kids. Later friend got home, his wife got home, his sister and her 2 kids came over, and we had fun sitting around talking and eating lasagna and listening to pink floyd real loud....then the ladies went shopping and the kids and guys went to bed, and the gals didn't get home till way late. And friend and his wife got up and went to work bright and early. sheesh.
Today we hauled the truck to gramma's house for the younger kid, for his (hopefully) surprise present.
We put a thousand miles on wife's truck, just after she put about 1200 on it a couple days before. The poor thing is gonna get tired! It pulled the trailer ok, although it sure needs a bigger engine for those hills up in northern AZ. Flatlands are ok.
The bridge over Hoover Dam is supposed to be done in 2008 according to the orange signs.
