I better get my butt in gear and get ready to go! but maybe I better stay an extra day instead...who knows....
the concrete is supposed to be poured Thursday am instead of tomorrow, so I won't be here. Wife might be here if she can escape from work, but she's supposed to escort some visitors or something.
oh well!
I stopped by C's shop today, he let me take the 31 Chevy for a drive. that's fun! the straight pipes are real loud at certain speeds, but once you go past that speed it's ok sounding. Gets a lot of looks...and it's fun to drive a real old time looking hot rod. The shifter is backwards, so it takes some time to get used to reverse being where 1st should be, etc. The steering is really easy for being manual, mainly because the front tires are really skinny, and the car is light, and the steering box is a pretty good one.
I got the water turned on about midnight last night, I figured the pvc glue had dried enough, and it had, no leaks. Now I need to figure out how to run the water lines to get water to the shop again, and to the horses--there's about 150 ft of hose stretched across the yard for them right now.
I got that funky old piece of equipment boxed up to go to Minnesota, I told the guy $500 and he said "ok". Not bad for a freebie.
The neighbors brought Otis the kitty back over today, I have the barn closed up now so the dog can't get in there. We'll see if he sticks around or not. I don't really care too much, as long as he does a bit of hunting around here occasionally. I guess they got tired of him crapping under their porch.
Hopefully I'll be on the road tomorrow night...we'll see what happens!
