4/4 - 920pm

been a few days, something actually got done here! for a change. Little Steven signed up for the high school car show, so then he decided he wants to make his car look a little better. So we started doing bodywork, getting it ready to be painted.

Still have a lot of paint removal ahead of us, the white is a crappy spray can job that someone did years ago. The paint gums up sandpaper, so it's a bitch to strip it off. Underneath is the remains of the original orange, which is what we'll paint it again. Should look nice! although it will still have the "economy" 6 cylinder and low performance Powerglide 2 speed automatic.

Yesterday we fixed the holes in the hood where hood pins had been installed, and removed the right front fender to fix a rust hole and some dents in it. The rest of the body is in good shape. Steve also took off the bumpers and lights and stuff. Today we filled in that rust hole with new metal, and did some work on the pass side door, rebuilt the lower hinge and adjusted it.

I finally got around to ordering trusses for the garage, it's gonna take 6 weeks to get them made. Shoulda done it 2 months ago like I was going to! but friend who died was going to order them, then he died, so it never got done.

new horsey trailer should be here tomorrow, we think.
